Character Guide
Charles Gunn

Gunn Cool, street-wise vigilante.

Anti-vampire vigilante Charles Gunn made it his mission to keeps the streets of L.A. bloodsucker-free. Driving a pickup truck festooned with wooden stakes and backed by an impressive posse, Gunn's life changed the day his sister was turned into a vampire.

Although not initially Angel's number one fan, Gunn gradually came to realise that he and the vampire had similar goals and informally joined Angel Investigations. As time went on, however, his old gang grew resentful of the fact that Gunn wasn't devoting enough time to them, causing friction.

Gunn is a tormented soul and a lone ranger, but he will protect his new 'family' at any cost. One of the things that's helped him settle with the gang is his new-found love for Fred - even if it hasn't always made working with Wesley easy.

Jaime Augusto Richards III is a bit of a giant. He's 6' 3" tall. His acting break came with a touring production Chemi Palooza - a musical about chemistry. He's also played a rapping bike-messenger who believed he was a prophet of space aliens.

Attending the same college as Danny Strong and George Hertzberg (Jonathan and Adam from Buffy), he also studied acting under Eric (ER) LaSalle. ""It was such a great way to gain confidence and lose self-imposed limitations," he says of the experience.

J. also loves astronomy and painting and would love to own a life-size version of the Millennium Falcon.
