Lessons
Kit and Carlos - they're two high-school misfits who befriend a newcomer called Summers as demons attack. It's so reminiscent of Xander and Willow meeting Buffy in Welcome to the Hellmouth. Surely they were meant to be the new Scoobies, a gang of Dawnettes for a slayer-in-waiting? Well, no: maybe it was because Joss and his team weren't impressed by the actors, but Kit and Carlos are anything but regulars during the rest of the season.
The big bads - not knowing why they were morphing into each other, we still hoped for more appearances by these old villains later in the season. But although some old big bads do return again, Clare Kramer and Mark Metcalf were sadly not available whem approached for further episodes.

Where did Buffy get the rocket launcher she tries to use on Principal Wood? Is it the same one she used on the Judge in Innocence? Where has she been storing it in the meantime?
