Tara talks live on Cult

Question from David Maxwell: Do you think BTVS sets a precedent for strong female characters in network TV?

Amber Benson: Hell, yes! I think Joss Whedon has created the first tough female role-model on network television for young women.

Question from Richard: How do you relate to 'Tara' in real life?

Amber Benson: I can be really insecure and nervous around people I don't know. I can also be really shy so we definitely share that trait.

Question from Becca F: How long does it take to record one episode of Buffy?

Amber Benson: Eight days.

Question from Gunnar Schindler: What did you think of Anthony Steward Head's singing?

Amber Benson: The man is a singing god.

Question from Phil Robbins: I was wondering if you can give us any information as to whether there's going to be a season six please?

Amber Benson: I hope so. I don't want Buffy to end. I love working on the show.

Question from Joel Sainsbury: Do you get as much male attention as Alyson Hannigan and Sarah Michelle Gellar?

Amber Benson: I probably get more female attention, actually. Although I have gotten marriage proposals from an 11-year old boy in Sussex.

Question from Marc Bueller: How long is your contract with the show?

Amber Benson: You will definitely be seeing me in Season 5.

Question from Craig S: Can we expect any large storylines or arcs for Tara in Season 5?

Amber Benson: There's definitely a couple of episodes which explain more about where she comes from.
