Do you get much chance to bring your stand-up comedy experience into the show?
The writing on the show is so good that I dont ever want to change the lines, because theyre so much fun. As far as Id be involved is just being able to take the lines they give you and then just going 110 per cent to commit to them.
Clem is so goofy and its so much fun to get to play somebody that doesnt care about their physical appearance, and can deliver lines about Knight Rider as if its the most important thing in the world. You know, "This will make my year if I get to watch Knight Rider and eat chicken wings". So its great fun to get to do that. As far as improvisation helping as an actor, its really teaching you to listen and react.
