Buffy
Your best Buffy memories.

Helen
James Marsters with his shirt off. Predictable or what?

Jenni McCarthy
Buffy became my nickname and my best friend soon adopted her new name as Faith. The real Faith and Buffy might be gone, but rest assured, the citizens of this my tiny village can sleep safe in their beds with the knowledge that faux Buffy and Faith are out stalking shadows, armed with stakes (OK, twigs).

Even if it means getting far too carried away, jumping off a van in the middle of the night, yelling, "Vampires beware", and breaking my foot.

Sean
Anya.

Lucy Atkinson
The biggest thing I got out of Buffy is my best friend in the entire world. For the last year-and-a-half we've been sending messages to each other and also writing our own Buffy fanfic/role play. I owe Buffy the Vampire Slayer so much.

CJ
My fave character in Buffy is Xander. I feel so sorry for him most of the time - I think he needs a hug. My fave Buffy episode has to be The Wish, as Xander-turned-evil looked sexy in leather and kicks Angel's butt!

Rebecca Robinson
Spike, Spike and more Spike. He was so funny.

Julie Upton
Watching back to back episodes of Buffy on video kept me going when I was off work undergoing chemotherapy.

Ian O'Gorman
The Body was an episode that spoke to me and helped me deal with my own personal loss of my mother. Even after Buffy has ended, I can still go back to this beautiful episode and be reminded why I love this show so much and why it means so much to me.

Hasiatu Kamara
The Buffy and Spike relationship. It was hot and very steamy.

Amelia
Buffy got me through university, where we would have Buffy marathons. Can I just say Giles is a sexgod and a legend wrapped up in one.

Kathryn Usher
Spike. He was very cool. Very cute.

Claire Hickey
I loved Buffy so much that I called my first kitten Buffy. Unfortunately she was ran over and killed three weeks ago. So not only has my favourite programme finished but I lost my little baby cat. I have got a new kitten now and I've called her Willow.

Cath
Dopplegangland. Best episode title, best dialogue ("Bored now") and best of all, Real-Willow-pretending-to-be-Vampire-Willow in that outfit. "Oh, look at those!" Best moment ever.

Lor
It gave a whole new meaning to Girl Power!

Catherine
A simultanous fix of humour, drama, fantasy and action all in the one fantastic show! My favourite moment would have to be when Buffy comes back from the dead, and Spike reveals that he knows exactly how long she has been gone.

AJ Greene
It was really fresh and unpredictable. A lot of shows in the 90s were so obvious, everyweek the good guys would win and they had no shocks. In Buffy even the good guys died - Kendra, Anya, Tara, Angel and eventually Spike.

Kelly
Sarah showed me that you can do anything that you want to be. You can be powerful and you can still be a girly girl at the same time.

Amanda
Everything!

The wit behind the dialogue, the way that the characters have grown from confused teens into responsible adults, the storylines, twists and turns that always make sure that you're on the edge of your seat.

Rosanna Silverlight
The finale of series five, I reckon. I loved the coming together of the entire cast in the battle in that episode, and the emotion at the end of it. Willow and Spike crying their eyes out, Buffy's words to Dawn, the words on her gravestone, Giles' thoughts about Buffy's heroism as he prepares to smother Ben - it was a pure magic episode.

Claire
I loved the whole Willow and Tara relationship, and I was gutted when they killed Tara. I know why they did it, but I still don't think it was right. I just thought it was nice that in the whole Buffy world there were two people who could have had a long, fairly normal, loving relationship.

Deepal Parmar
Nooooooo! I don't think I can live life normally anymore without Buffy and the crew. I'm going to miss them soooo much!

Safia
Buffy has made me realise that you don't have to be the popular one in school, and it doesnt matter who your friends are, and that everyone is special.

Vicki
Angel (seasons 1-3)
Spike (seasons 4-6)
Wood (season 7)

Rhiannon
From watching Buffy I have met loads of new people on message boards and have made lots of new friends. This is something I will always treasure.

K
The gorgeous Alyson Hanigan and Iyari Limon ... mmmm ...

Jez
The music! Buffy got me interested in some different bands and different styles of music. Plus the comedy was some of the best I've seen.

James Hunt
The show has made me a better person. It taught me things and made me friends. I think people who never watched Buffy are missing something amazing.

Karen Dolman
Buffy the series got me through a difficult time when my partner left me and I had to survive on my own for the first time in my life. Buffy and Spike kept me sane and made me happy again.

Marc
Anya - plain and simple. Her character, her looks and her innocent wit.

Johnny
It somehow managed to portray real life even though it dealt mostly with pure fantasy. There was just something about Buffy, especially the darker seasons, that reflected my own feelings and views about life at the time. It was funny, sad, touching, eerie and exciting - a great journey!

Isobel
Xander - and not just because of the red speedo's and the all-too-rare shirtless scenes. He was the one normal person in a group of super-types, and he developed from a sweet geek into a strong, caring adult. He learned to control his (very natural) jealousy and wannabe macho urges because he was smart enough to realise his limits. Kudos to the lovely Nicky Brendon - and to the fabulous writing and great direction.

Amy
When Buffy told Spike she loved him. It was so touching, I cried my eyes out. Poor Spike!

Danielle
It made me start looking for fellow obsessed watchers and that's how I found Melissa, a girl I've known for over a year now. She's one of my best friends. I'm from Belgium and she's from England so we've only really met two times but she means lots to me.

Amy Steele
I will always treasure the fact that it taught me about life and relationships, and however difficult it is you should still keep going.

Tony Dosanjh
I first met my future wife on the Buffy Bronze Board. We both lived in the Midlands in England and decided it would be fun to meet up. We got along great and about a year later I proposed.

I think we owe a huge debt to the creators of the show for giving us this opportunity to meet each other. We both had much in common, "worked" from home but secretly surfed the net for long periods at a time, and had a mutual agreement that Principal Snyder was the best!

I once brought her a birthday present of a Buffy Season 2 DVD boxset, but for some inexplicable reason she considered that to be a tad selfish of me!

Sally
Buffy has shown me that it doesn't matter how bad life gets, if you have friends and family around you everything will always work out fine.

Helen Marsden
She's short and she kicks ass. She still has problems but never over dramatises them and always, but always, wins the fight.

Leo
Willow encouraged me to become a good Wiccan and now I try ridding the world of vampires.

Larry Furbish
My favorite thing about Buffy is the core group. Throughout the show, they have split up but they've always reunited as the center of the show. I'm very sad to see them go.

Lizzie
Due to Buffy I met my new best friend and many more friends. I was also inpired into being a Wiccan.

Thanks to everyone who sent in their Buffy memories - we're sorry if we haven't had space to include yours here.

'Wow, two centuries of dating. If you only had two a year, that's still, like, four hundred dates with four hundred different... Why do they call it a mace?'
