Talyn is in hiding, recuperating in the heavy gravity of a remote planet that should be able to hide ship and crew from the Peacekeepers. It doesnt. And while Crichton, Crais and Aeryn try to draw the PKs away from Talyn on foot, its time for the showdown between Aeryn and the leader of the Peacekeeper retreival squad - her mother.
Should we be pleased that the confrontation between Aeryn and mummy has not been dragged out interminably? Or should there have been more to it than there was? The initial set up of this storyline felt dubious but you somehow trusted Farscape to make something of it. In the end it felt too quick.
Always presuming that it is over, of course. The device of showing us Aeryn during the crucial moment involving her mother was dramatically spot on. It was how every non-SF drama would have done it. Yet, given Farscapes record with baddies, no bets should be placed on whether this fight is finished yet.
That moment was the finest of the episode, except perhaps the sequence of Stark accidentally sewing Rygel's tunic into his chest while stitching him up to save his life. Clever, funny, a little repulsive, it was almost worth the continued presence of Stark.
His telling us hes seen Zhaan, though, was just cheaper than having to hire the women with the blue skin again. And both the opening and closing moments, with Aeryn asking Crichton to tell her things about Talyn that she already knows but we dont, were weak.
