DID YOU NOTICE?

We no longer need translator microbes to have a good idea what the Farscape swearword 'frel' means: it was used in sufficiently different contexts in this episode to make it clear. It's very naughty.

The episode was structured around the idea of knocking heads. Of Moya's crew, Crichton headbutted Rygel while Aeryn headbutted Zhaan and the aliens B'Soog and Temmon had cracked-open heads, though they didn't seem to mind. Given all of that, you could actually predict that the show would end with the D'Argo and Chiana kissing � they were the last two main characters to lock heads.

B'Soog knew Crichton was following him because he could smell John's presence. But he had a rather bigger clue in the almighty-powerful torch Crichton kept shining after him.

The men on Moya rather over-reacted to Chiana's new costume which, to be frank, isn't a great deal different from her last one. Perhaps it was their polite way of pointing out that she's worn the same clothes for the last 15 episodes. Their leering was certainly a presage of Chiana's role in the second act where, unpleasantly, she became an item to trade.

When Rygel decides to gamble for the food they need, Crichton calls him 'Maverick'. It's a reference to the TV series and film of that name, with Bret Maverick (originally James Garner, later Mel Gibson) being a charming card player. Crichton must have forgotten the charming bit.
