Who lives? Who dies? And what's going on down on the ice planet?
Written by Richard Manning
Directed by Ian Watson
Farscape's back with a new direction and more plots being set up and settled down that this opener was impenetrable for all but the dedicated fan.
And it didn't matter. While the show is best when it's pitching character against character rather than alien monster against special effects, all that counts is that we got Aeryn back from the dead.
It does seem as if every character is threatened with dying, each taking a ticket and awaiting their turn, but then there are now so many characters in the title sequence that we could lose a few.
That reworked title sequence, though, does set the stage for the season: Crichton is no longer just trying to get home, he's worrying about protecting Earth from all he's found.
