Buffy News    13 January 2003
Amber web chat online.

Amber web chat online.

Backstreet Boys, inspiration and wet noodles - just some of the things that feature in the world of Amber Benson.

The full transcript and video clips from Amber's recent BBC online chat is now available to view in our Buffy interview section.

Among the topics Amber talks about are her love of music, what inspires her writing and working with Joss Wheddon.

When asked about if she had any plans to make pop music, Amber displays her dry sense of humour: "Definitely. I'm going to join the Backstreet Boys! [laughs] Right now I'm focusing on writing and directing, but if someone decided to hand me a record contract, I wouldn't say no."

The writing and directing are important to her right now as when asked what inspired her to write her independant film Chance, she proclaims, "I just got sick of reading scripts where the female part is the love interest, sex kitten or tomboy best friend."

When asked if working with Joss was good or does he drive people too hard, she replied: "He beats me with wet noodles! Actually someone once wrote me a letter asking if Joss whips us. I wondered - how did they know?

"But seriously, he's great to work with. He knows what he wants and works diligently to get there".
