Thanks to a little prompting from the BBC Cult team, the DVD release of Buffy's sixth season will now feature the two-hour, uncut version of Bargaining.

When originally released on VHS, an 'International' version of the story - split into two parts and with several cuts to the first half for timing reasons - was used.

We approached 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment last autumn in the hope that they could source the original, uncut master tapes of Bargaining for the DVD. Fox promised to explore this, and when we received test discs on Friday, we were delighted to discover that they'd been true to their word.

As usual, we will be offering fans a chance to see a clip from one of the set's many featurettes a month before it goes on sale. Be sure to keep checking our Buffy Stuff section for more details.

Season Six is released in the UK on 12th May. It's also just been announced that the first half of Buffy's seventh season will be out on VHS on 23rd June.
