Kiss Kiss Slayer

Kiss Kiss Slayer

Another day, another Buffy spin-off rumour, but this one takes the biscuit. The British newspaper the Daily Star reports that former Neighbours star and pop puppet Holly Valance is to succeed Sarah Michelle Geller and become the next vampire slayer.

"Holly's been approached and she's interested," an unnamed source at US television network UPN told the paper (funny how they are always unnamed).

"She is one of the most energetic performers in showbusiness and would be perfect for the role. She is a recognised face with a background in acting. It could be a great step for her into Hollywood."

Aussie website smh.com.au picked up on the story and spoke to a spokesman for Valance's record company, WEA London Records, who said the report was premature.

"We are waiting to hear from the people who make Buffy. I do not know anything about Holly taking over," he said.

You can all breathe a sigh of relief now.
