New Buffy game details

More news on the next Buffy console game has emerged.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds is expected to be released for Xbox, Playstation 2 and the Nintendo Gamecube in the third quarter of 2003. Developed by Eurocom and published by Sierra Entertainment, the game will take the form of a 'lost' episode from Season Five.

According to the Game Spy web site, the plot involves a dimensional bleed has been enabled by Pure Evil to consume humanity once and for all. As well as the regular Scooby Gang, old favourites such as Faith, Ethan Rayne and even Sid the Dummy will all feature.

Unlike the first game, it seems that you will be able to play portions of the game as characters other than Buffy. Multiplayer modes - One on One Combat, Last Man Standing, Team Survival, Domination and Bunny Catcher - will also be available.
