Faith actress Eliza Dushku is to star in her own series for the Fox network, Tru Calling.

Tru Calling, a supernatural series, features Dushku as a young woman with psychic powers.

Her character, Tru Davies, is a student who can relive whole days, a talent which enables her to prevent various disasters. Shades of Quantum Leap, we think.

Jon Feldman, who worked on Roswell, is the show's writer and executive producer. The pilot was directed by Phillip Noyce (The Quiet American).

Fox will begin transmitting Tru Calling in the Autumn.
