Sarah Michelle Gellar has revealed that there is still a romantic spark between Buffy and Angel - and that she may be visiting the vampire in L.A. in the next season of his spin-off show.

"There is unfinished business between Buffy and Angel and we were lucky enough that The WB was kind enough to let us have David [Boreanaz] for our last two episodes here," Sarah told the Access Hollywood web site. "That is certainly something that I would like to be able to do over there also.

Sarah also gave more of an insight into why she decided to hang up Mr Pointy after seven seasons.

"I'm leaving for personal reasons, I'm leaving for professional reasons and I'm a little exhausted. I have put my heart and soul into the show and I've always said that if I couldn't give 110 per cent in the show then I couldn't do it anymore. I was an 18-year-old kid when I started and now I'm a 26-year-old married woman and there are other things in my life that need a little bit of time.

"I'm [also] leaving because the story has come to a really good place and I never want to be that show where people say, 'Is that show still on?'"

Sarah is currently working on the second Scooby Doo feature film, and has recently been linked to a starring role in the proposed Wonder Woman movie.
