BBC Two's current scheduling of Buffy's season seven doesn't apparently mean that uncut late-night repeats are ruled out for the future.
Many Buffy viewers have been disappointed by the lack of unedited broadcasts of season seven of Buffy, currently being shown three times a week at 6.45pm.
We've been looking for some clarification, and found the following statement has been issued. "This season, Buffy the Vampire Slayer will be shown on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This means that BBC Two would have three uncut versions to slot in before the Learning Zone on Friday nights. As the channel is mid-series for Later With Jools Holland and continuing its run of The X-Files, there is no appropriate slot for these episodes."
Viewers are assured that, "The schedulers thought long and hard about this, but BBC Two's priority is playing the originated episodes in the best slots, so they have decided to hold the uncut versions to play in a consistent pattern in the future."
We'll get right back to this as soon as we can give information about any broadcasts of uncut versions.
