Buffy News    11 November 2003
Xander in the City
Xander in the City

Buffy's pal Xander, actor Nicholas Brendon is to star in a TV movie comedy, playing a gay man.

Perhaps inspired by the success of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, the hit US makeover show where five homosexuals makeover a guy to help him find love, Celeste in the City tells the tale of a young girl who moves from Hicksville to Manhattan.

While there, her gay male cousin (Nicholas) sets himself the task of transforming the dowdy teen to help her find a man.

This is not the first time Nicholas has been linked to a comedy project, post Buffy. He was due to play an ex-college student in the sitcom The Pool at Maddy Breakers, but the project was cancelled at the pilot stage.
