Buffy the Vampire Slayer was voted a slot in Channel Four's 100 Greatest Sexiest Moments programme.

The programme came in at number forty in the poll, broadcast on Saturday evening. Rather than picking a particular moment, the whole show was, rightly, rated as sexy.

Unsurprisingly, particular mention was made of Buffy's season six fling with Spike, what with all the shirtless scenes it led to.

There was another notch for Sarah Michelle Gellar's bedpost up at number two. This sultry accolade was awarded for her 1999 performance in Cruel Intentions. The scene where Gellar teaches a young Selma Blair how to kiss got enough people hot and bothered to put it almost up at the top slot.

Only Ursula Andress' bikini-clad beach scene from 1962 Bond movie Doctor No kept Gellar from taking the superior position.
