Head hooks Pan's people
Head hooks Pan's people

Anthony Head took to the stage of London's Savoy Theatre last night for the opening night of Peter Pan.

Members of the Cult Team popped along to see the Buffy star 'hook' audiences with his flamboyant turn as the pirate nemesis of the boy who never grew up.

Always ready to swash his buckle and break into a jaunty jig, Tony was clearly relishing a chance to chew the scenery with style and charm. He raised many a cheer from the audience, which included Love Actually star Martine McCutcheon. He also had the coolest boots and coat in the West End.

Despite the young age of most of the cast, their swordfighting skills were highly impressive, with complex battles between the Lost Boys and Hook's crew making for a spectacular finale with real bite.

Especially impressive were Katie Foster-Barnes, who gave an authoritative and charming performance as Wendy, and spikey-haired scamp Jack Blumenau as Peter. The entire cast also handled the many complex flying scenes with grace and skill.

Tony will be alternating performances of Peter Pan with The Pirates of Penzance over the next three months.
