Michelle Trachtenberg is to star in a Disney film.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Michelle has won the lead in Ice Princess.

The film will feature Michelle as a geeky, unattractive girl whose life and appearance is transformed when she becomes a champion figure skater.

Helping turn this ugly duckling into a swan are a disgraced coach and some pushy parents. Physics also plays a part.

Love interest is provided in the form of the guy who drives the ice resurfacing machine.

The script for Ice Princess has been written by Hadley Davis and it will be directed by Andrew Waller.

Shooting is expected to start in late March or early April.
