Michelle Trachtenburg is to appear in Six Feet Under.

According to a report in USA Today, Michelle will play a Britney Spears-style pop princess in the HBO series, which returns to US television on 6th June.

In the new series David (Michael C. Hall) and Keith (Mathew St Patrick) try to save their troubled relationship by concentrating on their careers. This results in Keith becoming a bodyguard for Michelle's character.

It's not quite clear how many episodes Michelle will feature in, but she does appear in the third episode, which features the pop princess on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
