Finale and Fray
Finale and Fray

Joss Whedon speaks about the future of Angel and Buffy.

In an interview with Scifiwire.com Joss says that the last episode of season five will wrap up the current storyline just in case a sixth season isn't commissioned, but leave things open if it is.

"Usually, my philosophy has always been [to] do an episode that ties up everything, but opens up some other things. And this season is no different. It's very much a good way to go out, and a good way to start a completely new season."

Joss also hopes to keep Buffy the Vampire Slayer alive - in comic form.

"I'm still doing Tales of the Vampires," Whedon said in the interview, "and after that I'd like to do another Fray book. But I keep taking things on, and my wife is still smiling, but I don't know how long that's going to last."

News that Whedon is writing a series of New X-Men comics for Marvel may be a bit premature.

"I can't answer that question at all, because I'm really not officially doing it," he said. "It sort of leaked out that I wanted to do it. I'd say the same thing I say about the show, I really like the characters, and so I want to put them in pain."
