Point Pleasant
Point Pleasant

Buffy executive producer Marti Noxon's new show details.

Marti Noxon has had a pilot for Point Pleasant ordered by Fox, but so far few details have been released other that the show will feature a beachside community disturbed when a mysterious girl washes up on the shore. A sort of Buffy meets Baywatch, then?

FilmJerk.com has now announced further details - The mysterious girl in question is 17-year-old Christina Nickson, a boarding school student who is rescued by lifeguard Jesse Parker when the school cruise ship she is on sinks.

Christina is taken by Dr Ben Kramer and his family, but the townsfolk soon begin to grow suspicious of her when strange events start to occur. Whenever Christina gets upset by anyone, things happen to them.

Christina is shaken by the changes within her and the new power she wields. She is also determined to find her mother, but finds her efforts to find her thwarted by her father.

If successful, the pilot will spawn a series that will broadcast in the 2004/2005 season in the US.
