Boreanaz's bow-wows
Boreanaz's bow-wows

Angel star lends his support to animal welfare campaign.

David Boreanaz appears in print advertisements aimed to raise the profile of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

He appears in the ad alongside his pets Fritz and Bertha Blue (the latter sadly no longer with us), urging pet owners to "Be your dogs' angel. Play with them... Take them for nice long walks... Don't ever chain them."

Bertha Blue was David's constant companion before his death last year, and was even by his side when he was spotted by a talent scout.

"She was his pride and joy," says PETA's Michael McGraw. "It's touching that he chose to include Bertha Blue in his PETA ad as a tribute to her."

Poor old David - he's lost his programme and his prize pooch.
