What Would Buffy Do?
What Would Buffy Do?

New American title offers fans advice for everyday situations.

What Would Buffy Do? The Vampire Slayer as Spiritual Guide by Jana Reiss looks at the events of the series and tries to pin down what lessons we can learn. Apparently, we can learn a lot from Buffy about such subjects as friendship, honesty, redemption and forgiveness.

"Buffy is a complex and nuanced series, full of ambiguity. If offers no clear-cut answers, but takes moral and spiritual issues very seriously," Reiss said about the show.

If this all sounds like a poor attempt to cash in on a popular show to you, you could be right, but it's a claim Reiss refutes.

"I really do believe that people who have theological or academic training cannot dismiss popular culture," she says. "They do so at their own peril."

What Would Buffy Do? is out now in the US. There is as yet, no news on a UK release date.
