Fury is Lost
Fury is Lost

Angel's David Fury explains why he joined the crew of Lost.

Speaking to Sci Fi Wire, David Fury explained why he decided to accept the post of co-executive producer on ABC's new show Lost.

"I turned down everything this year and had some nice offers, but nothing felt right to me," Fury said. "It's a testament to J.J. [Abrams - the Alias supremo] and [co-creator] Damon Lindelof, because I had turned down Lost initially. It's only because they forgot that they tried me again. I decided I owed them the courtesy to see the pilot, and it was great! I decided to meet them, and I was totally seduced."

Lost features the survivors of a plane crash coping with weird occurrences as they try to survive on a desert island.

"It's not an easy show to categorize," added Fury. "It borders on genre, an adventure show and character studies. It's what appealed to me about Buffy, which was that it could be so many different things."

Lost premieres in the US on 22 September.
