Whedon comic online

Marvel puts issue one of Astounding X-Men online.

The first issue of Joss Whedon-penned comic series, Astounding X-Men, has been put online by Marvel comics. It's Joss's third foray into comics, after an Angel strip and the future-slayer epic Fray.

Whedon's mini-series, which is drawn by John Cassaday, has met with critical and fan acclaim. It tells of how the X-Men deal with the threat to their lives when the gene to "cure" the mutations that give them their superpowers is found.

All twenty-five pages of issue one can be read in the dot.comics area of Marvel's website.
