Ben Browder, a.k.a. Crichton in Farscape, is to appear in an upcoming episode of CSI Miami, the spin-off series from the crime fighting drama CSI.

The news was broken by Wayne Pygram (Scorpius on Farscape) at a recent convention in Portland, Oregan. Browder has apparently already filmed his role as Danny in the episode Tinderbox. TV Guide has recently posted the following synopsis:

Speedle and Delko are present when a trendy nightclub catches fire. Although apparently caused by a dj's pyrotechnics display, the ensuing investigation reveals it may have been arson to cover up a murder.

CSI Miami stars David Caruso and Emily Procter as members of Miami, Florida police department's Crime Scene Investigations unit.

In other Farscape news, the series has been name-checked in a forthcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer novel

Blood and Fog by Nancy Holder features the following exchange between Buffy and Spike:

"Speak for yourself," Buffy retorted. "If I had any free time at all, I'd watch Farscape."

"In reruns, luv."

"All the good shows move on eventually."

Well, that's a matter of opinion, say Cult.
