Dark Horizons.com reports that Jonathan Frakes is in talks with Warner Bros. about helming the new Superman movie.
According to the site's source, the Star Trek: The Next Generation star has had a couple of talks with the studio about joining the project as soon as he has finished work on the Thunderbirds film, currently being shot at Pinewood Studios.
Superman will also be shot at Pinewood, as well as on location in Canada.
Whether Frakes will take on directing duties on Superman is open to question. According to the report the actor had planned to take a rest after Thunderbirds, itself a huge studio movie.
As well as playing Riker in the Next Generation, Frakes also directed various Star Trek episodes and the Trek films Insurrection and First Contact.
