We've launched a site dedicated to the history of Blue Peter.

The I Love Blue Peter site contains classic video clips, profiles of the presenters and pets, articles on the teams, factsheets, makes, bloopers, and thrilling features from old Blue Peter books.

You can watch an early Blue Peter appeal (for spoons to make caravans), see John Noakes and Peter Purves in a Turkish bath, and listen to a documentary about the history of the show.

The site will grow over the next month, with a new team being added every fortnight. Currently, we've got the early years covered - but this Friday they'll be joined by Simon Groom, Peter Duncan and Sarah Greene.
