Actress Jeri Ryan - Borg babe Seven of Nine in Star Trek: Voyager, is in talks for an interesting new TV role.
Final negotiations are taking place to secure her for the part of a witch in the new CBS pilot, Sudbury.
The potential new series is based on the 1998 movie Practical Magic which starred Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock as spell casting sisters.
Sandra Bullock is also executive producer on the TV pilot which will also star Kim Delany as Ryan's sibling.
For the past three years, Ryan has fronted Fox's Boston Public. That was recently cancelled due to declining ratings, freeing her up for new roles.
