Life of Python

A play about Graham Chapman. The naughty boy.

Graham Chapman stood out, even among the Pythons. Not as tall as John Cleese, not as nice as Michael Palin, not as American as Terry Gilliam, and less good in a skirt than Terry Jones.

A Very Naughty Boy is the story of his life. The play centers on his troubled writing partnership with John Cleese (the two started working together at university and were soon writing scripts for, of all things, Doctor In The House), but also takes in his fantastic drinking ability, his suddenly outrageous gayness, and his proud pipe-smoking.

Having already won an award from the Scotsman for its Edinburgh Fringe debut, the show comes to London's Soho Theatre from 21 April, and stars Adrian Poynton as Graham Chapman and Tom Price as John Cleese.
