The Changes

Cult celebrates kids' drama The Changes with a new section.

Broadcast in 1975, children's drama The Changes was a scary apocalyptic series about the fall of society.

A strange sound emitted by pylons causes people to turn against technology - destroying cars, bicycles, toasters and alarm clocks in their frenzy. Well, we can all sympathise with the annihilation of that last item, at least.

Caught up in all this is schoolgirl Nicky, whose tribulations were followed over ten episodes.
