Firefly interview

Writer and executive producer of Firefly, Tim Minear speaks.

To mark the release of the series on DVD, we spoke to Tim about how he came to work on the show, and why it would appeal to Buffy and Angel fans.

"People who are fans of Buffy and Angel would definitely find Firefly to be part of the same family," he said. "The same kind of surprising storytelling... which is at heart is about its characters, the emotion, hopefully some humour, some action and inventiveness."

He also tells us the current status of the film version of Firefly.

"There's a great script written by Joss. I know that he is working to put all the different elements together to make it happen."

A DVD box set of the whole of Firefly is out today.
