Round the Horne

Hit stageplay comes to BBC Four.

We're delighted to see that, as part of their Summer in the Sixties season, Round the Horne Revisited is now on BBC Four. Look out for it tonight, Monday 14 June 10pm-11pm, Thursday 17 June 8.30pm-9.30pm and 1.25am-2.25am (signed).

In honour of our delight at this, here's how we reviewed the stage version earlier this year:

Cease twiddling your nine inch bakelite Bush and head for the theatre to see a cult radio classic recreated on stage.

"Charles?"

"Oh, Fiona. I knew you'd come."

"Yes, Charles. I knew you knew."

"Oh, Fiona. I knew you knew I knew."

"Charles, I just couldn't keep myself away from London's Venue theatre. As soon as I realised that up there, live, living, breathing, pulsing on stage would be such heroes as Kenneth Horne, Kenneth Williams, Hugh Paddick, Douglas Smith and Betty Marsen. No Charles, I soon as I heard... I felt the urge."

"I felt the urge too, Fiona. It was a large urge."

"Oh Charles! I can feel the urge pressing against me now! Especially as I know it's on BBC Four."

"Oh Fiona!"

"Tell me Charles, does it still hurt?"

"Only when you poke it with your umbrella."
