Big screen He-Man

New movie of the hit toy range and cartoon is in the works.

Following the recent retro revival of He-Man action figures, a new movie version of Prince Adam's adventures is currently in production, according to Variety magazine.

The film will be directed by John Woo (Face/Off, Mission Impossible II) from a script by Adam Rifkin (Small Soldiers).

Fox have clearly decided to ignore the dire film made about the half-human, half-Eternian warrior in 1987, with Dolph Lundgren as the hero. But will the power of Greyskull be with them on this attempt?

Of course, the big question is just who is capable of filling Dolph's boots? David Beckham, perhaps?
