Sesame Street study

Documentary planned about hit educational children's series.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, The World According to Sesame Street, a documentary about the series which taught how to spell and count, is currently in development.

Sesame also introduced us to the likes of Kermit, Oscar the Grouch and the Count.

The documentary, directed by Linda Goldstein Knowlton and Linda Hawkins, will be shot in a number of the twenty countries that make and screen the series. It will look at the history of the show and the cultural, political and social impact it has made.

Let's hope a sizeable chunk of the documentary is devoted to Cult's favourite roomies Burt and Ernie.

In other Muppet news, a new website has just been launched devoted to Kermit, Fozzie, Miss Piggy and co. Click on the link below to access it.
