Bafta Benjamin

Play School presenter Floella gets Special Award.

Long-time children's presenter Floella Benjamin was lauded at Sunday's Children's Bafta awards, receiving a Special Award for her outstanding contribution to children's film and television.

Floella, who started her career on classic tot's TV show Play School back in the seventies, also presented Play Away alongside Brian Cant, and was awarded an OBE for services to broadcasting and charity in 2001.

Other winners included Dick and Dom, whose antics in da Bungalow won them the Best Entertainment and Best Presenter awards. (BOGIES!)

Also worth mentioning because it sounds funny was the winner of the Best Schools Factual (Secondary) Award - The Search for the Tartan Turban.
