Minnie Wonder

An unlikely star wants to don those satin tights.

Talking to Sci Fi Wire, Minnie Driver said she'd love to play Wonder Woman.

Unfortunately, she doesn't feel she's a big enough box office draw to win the role.

"I think you're probably going to see Catherine Zeta-Jones squished into a corset and a pair of shorts quicker than you'd see me," said Driver.

"I might have more currency now, after Phantom [of the Opera], because she is an operatic superhero, in my opinion."

During the interview Driver demonstrated her knowledge of the Amazonian Prince, citing actor Lynda Carter - the TV Wonder Woman - as one of her heroines.

"She did it all with a couple of bracelets and a weird lasso, and she had an invisible plane!" Driver said. "Come on, she's heaven, and she was so sexy."
