Shaun comic

Shaun of the Dead comic is on its way.

IDW Publishing has done a deal with Universal to produce a comic based on Shaun of the Dead, the hit zom-rom-com from Spaced duo Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright.

Over four issues, the Shaun comic will retell the plot of the movie, but with lots of new material provided by the writers.

"Edgar and Simon have been great," said editor and strip writer Chris Ryall. "They've given us full access to deleted scenes, unshot scenes and other bonus materials, allowing us to present a sort of 'director's cut' of their movie, in four parts."

Shaun of the Dead will be available from June.
