Simpsons birthday

The show celebrates it's 350th episode.

The US Fox Network will broadcast the 350th episode of The Simpons, sealing its position as the world's longest running sitcom.

"I don't see any end in sight," creator Matt Groening said. "I want to get to 366 [shows] so we have one for every day of the year, including leap year."

Groening thinks the show is currently at its strongest and doesn't see any reason for not taking up the three-year option he has with his cast.

"I think [the episodes] are as sharp and surprising as anything we've done since the beginning of the show," he said.

"Nothing lasts forever," he added. "But I do think this past year, in my view, is one of the best we've had in a long time."
