Drama 24

Nostalgia-fest channel to broadcast around the clock.

Cable and satellite channel UKTV Drama launches a daytime service from Monday 30 May.

That's right, you'll soon be able to watch great and not so great television hits of yesteryear all day long - ideal if you're a bit sniffly.

Daytime duvet-grabbing delights include sea-faring saga The Onedin Line (nice frocks/shipwrecks/Mummerset accents), Upstairs Downstairs (nice frocks/between stairs affairs/posh 'n' cockney accents), The House of Elliot (very nice frocks/button crises/very posh accents) and All Creatures Great and Small (overalls/cow probing/Yorkshire accents).

And just when you think that all sounds a bit high-brow, there will also be a run of Terry and June repeats (Terry's collapsing deckchair capers are now classed as drama, you see).
