Michael uncovers the strange events around their arrival in 1947.

Neat idea, untidy hair. This is a major flashback episode, allowing the cast the sheer fun of dressing up in uniform and quaint 1940s clothes.
How much you enjoy the episode depends on how willing you are to suspend your disbelief. If you can swallow the regulars suddenly turning up as scarily young adults in period costume, then you'll be fine, and this episode has much to enjoy.
On the other hand, if you find the whole visual spectacle too disorienting ("They look way too young! What is the deal with the hair?"), then you may miss some really crucial plot points.
If you were too busy giggling at Michael's hair drowning in gel, here's some of what you may have missed - the military knew about the alien survivors, there's been a conspiracy about it for a long tine, and there are more pods than we first thought... does this mean there's a whole bunch of other aliens out there?
Love this week (40s style):
Captain Hal Carver: attracts the attentions of Rosemary, Betty, Yvonne and Dixie. And still finds time to uncover a sinister government conspiracy.
