Isabel's surprise birthday party doesn't go to plan

This is a pretty stunning episode of Roswell, and one told in a fairly complex way.
Instead of a linear narrative, this show jumps around through time, leaving us genuinely intrigued as to what's going on. It's also pretty serious stuff, even with Alex's striptease.
Not only do we have Tess in peril, we learn something of Isabel's past (her name was Vilandra, and she betrayed her planet for love).
We also discover that Whitaker is a Skin. Just when she's shaping up nicely to be a big bad villain of the season, she's wiped out. This is definitely "new" Roswell - everything is moving very swiftly. Last year Whitaker would have been around for weeks before her real identity was revealed.
And what is Courtney up to?
This week's love:
Alex: does a striptease, all for Isabel.
Isabel: but Isabel's on a date with Grant the rugged geologist.
Michael: he is so flirting with Courtney. All that talk of baking.
Kyle: offended by Tess's lingerie in the bathroom.
Tess: Kyle or Max?
