Roswell | Episode Guide
Viva Las Vegas

Liz Michael's been given fifty thousand dollars. He takes the gang on a trip to Vegas.

Written by Gretchen J Berg & Aaron Harberts
Directed by Bruce Seth Green

After four heavy weeks, some lighthearted fun. Michael, determined to get rid of the bribe money the Duprees gave him, arranged to take Max on a trip to blow it all at Vegas... and somehow the rest of the crew come along.

This is an episode about bonding, togetherness and unity that somehow manages not to suck. We see Max and Michael realising why they need each other - we even get to see Michael's sense of humour as he picks names for everyone's fake IDs.

The best thing by far is Maria's voice, as we get to see her have two goes at singing - one when she auditions as a stripper, and finally, at the dinner theatre. It's lovely to hear Majandra Delfino's voice (watch out for more occasions in the series when the producers work in "Look, Maria can sing!" moments).

We also get to see some near stuff revolving around Isabel's flirtation with a charming stranger ... and how, at the end of it, she's just too wholesome to spend the night with him. Are these real teenagers?

Those fake IDs in full:

Michael: Doctor Love
Max: Rob Roy
Maria: Margarita Salt.
Isabel: Brandy Alexander
Kyle: Harvey Wallbanger
Tess: Pina Colada
Alex: Tom Collins
Liz: Shirley Temple

This week's love:

Max: Has a vision of marrying Liz. Oh dear.
Liz: Agonised that she knows that one day, she's supposed to marry Max in Vegas. No wonder she spends six hours playing slot machines.
Maria: Michael, obviously.
Isabel: Some bloke called Dave. Though Maybe Alex is her true love.
