A Dad�s Army spin-off, written by Harold Snoad and Michael Knowles as a vehicle for Arthur Lowe and John Le Mesurier.

Lowe died a few months later and the pilot has never been broadcast. The series was re-written to include Pike (Ian Lavender) and Hodges (Bill Pertwee).

Thirteen episodes were broadcast and ending with Le Mesurier�s death in 1983. It�s 1948 and Arthur Wilson has been Manager of Swallow�s Bank in Frambourne for a year. His first appointment today is a Mr. Mainwaring. Could it be? Miss Bains is sent to show the gentleman in...
