Love always,
Princess Diana was the only public figure, I feel, that really cared for people. Not because the press, media was taking a picture to be printed for us to see, but because she cared about what she was doing. That's the reason she was so well loved, that's the reason she will always be loved. Crystal Jones Washington D.C. area To the most beautiful and loving princess I've known. Monika, Poland At the death of some public figures, especially political public figures, it is and will be necessary for the state to prepare public ceremonies so that people show their sympathy. This is why it is always refreshing and inspiring when it is the public who forces the state to acknowledge the value of a deceased loved citizen. Godspeed to all,
As an Englishman living in New Zealand I first heard the unbelievable news at about lunchtime on Sunday afternoon. The full impact has still not sunk in but the tremendous feeling of loss is one that is difficult to comprehend. Diana was and will remain one of the most loved human beings by people of all races. You did not need to know who she was to understand her kindness, all through her wonderful smile and compassion. The tragedy that dogged her throughout her short life was something that you could not believe, it was the stuff of fiction writers. What makes it harder to take is that she was only two months older than myself. It just brings home the frailty that we all have and how quickly we can lose someone that we all hold dear. I never met the Princess, but through her life and her press coverage (the credible, sensible kind) I feel that I knew her, and it was a privilege. May she Rest In Peace and forgive us for our sins against her.

Diana, your death leaves a big hole in our lives even though we didn't know you. You always were an example of how to triumph over all that went wrong in your life. Whatever doors life shut in your face, you always seemed to find another one to open - I admired your strength and courage. William and Harry, my heart goes out to you both - I recently lost my father so I know only too well what it is to lose a parent in tragic circumstances. My thoughts and those of my own family are with you. Our prayers are with you each day - may God grant you the courage to face the future, proud to have had Diana as a mother and proud to carry with you the hopes and aspirations she had for you.
God Bless you
Still lost for words A tragedy beyond compare Our thoughts are with William and Harry
