Diana, Princess of Wales was a shining light in our times and someone who inspired us all. She will be missed by people all over the world for her inner and outer beauty and her compassion for the common person as well as her devotion for her sons.

In so many ways she was a good and ordinary person who gave us all a sense of sharing in the life she led. With her we felt we too could be a princess, a caregiver and a loving parent.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Prince William and Prince Harry and the Spencer family who truly loved her and recognised her as the luminary she became and the sweet child she was. Our comfort is to know that she rests in the love of God.

I'm writing from Manila, Philippines. Although we have never had Princess Diana as a guest here, I must say that we were all shocked, as the rest of the world was, when we saw the news over BBC.

It's a very tragic ending to someone so well-loved by her people and by the world. I have never experienced something so sad for someone I have never even met.

The world never forget her.

I never thought of Diana in any way while she was still walking the earth but always admired her for what she was doing for other people. The news of her tragic death shocked me and has actually affected me more than I thought it would.

I live in a small country town in Western Australia.

Although I myself am Scottish, and I am completely devastated by the news of the death of the Princess, I have been completely taken aback by the reaction of the people of this small town.

Everyone whom I have spoken to, have all said they have felt that they have lost a friend or a part of their family, although no one had actually met the princess we feel that she was always a part of us and will always be in our thoughts.

I am sure that no one can know, or would want to know what her two sons are goind through at this moment. Our thoughts should be with them and with the Spencer family who seem to have been overlook.
