Your Thoughts

I took myself into the City of Sydney yesterday, on a warm sunny spring day, to pay my respects to the Princess.

The city's flags were at half mast, and the glistening harbour seemed to be sighing its own wishes of condolence. The British High Commission in the tall office tower had an office set aside, with beautiful flowers and books. I flipped back through the book I was about to sign, to gain an impression of the depth of emotion.

People had written whole pages of beautiful and sensitive thoughts, which I refrained from reading too closely. I was struck by the dignity of the occasion.

What a remarkable woman Diana was to inspire people to open their hearts like this. We will never forget her. Her memory will be deeply cherished as few others of our time will be.

I'd like to send my condolences to the family of Princess Diana.

I will always remember her as the Princess who's unselfish love and down to earth qualities which were reflected upon her charity works and her priority in taking good care of her two sons has made me and I believe millions of people to admire and love her even more.

May she rest in peace.

Love,

Her love for people
Made them love her back
She was a princess
Who wanted to be queen
But only of our hearts
May she now rest in peace

The passing of Princess Diana has left many in this world saddened and unsure of the future. Suddenly, her warm, unreserved smile, her reassuring touch and her love for the poor and unwanted of our society would be but memories in the hearts of many.

Princess Diana, you will be missed and never be forgotten.

Diana, your stellar life, set exquisitely on the world stage out of reach even of the Royals, cut short by a single careless mistake. I have never felt such a pang of regret for one unknown to me personally...truly I didn't know how much I loved you.

The world will be a drabber place forever....

Diana may have lost her royal title but she remained a Princess, in deeds, in words and in death. May her soul rest in peace.

Dearest Diana,

Diana Princess of Wales and Queen of Hearts. Your love for those who were lest fortunate, will remain in history now and forever. The lasting light that you offered so many, will shine with them forever.

Although I did not meet you, I feel compelled to contribute to your lasting grandeur that will remain in the hearts of all nations, nationalities and cultures, for you brought attention to those areas we as public seem to avoid, extending a hand of hope to the suffering.

It's really hard to believe that the Princess is already dead. I really adored and admired her because she did a lot of good things for the people not only in her country but around the world.

I will really miss Diana even though I never met her. My deepest sympathy to her sons William and Harry. This world became a better place because of you princess Diana.

I know you are happy now. May you rest in peace with Dodi, the driver and with GOD. I loved you and I will never forget you. Farewell to my dear Diana, the queen of my heart. I MISS YOU!!!

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to Princes William and Henry in this moment of grief. Princess Diana was a loving mother above everything else and truly devoted her life for her children. The world will no doubt be a lot poorer without her.

I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of Diana, Princess of Wales and her companion Dodi Al-Fayed. Her sons William and Harry will be the ones that suffer the most.

Diana was showing signs that finally, she was beginning to enjoy life from a different perspective. But she didn't have the opportunity to live life the way she would have wanted, but at least she was finally happy.

Diana, I will miss you, we will all miss you. The world has lost a very special and caring person, may your work continue to progress and bring happiness to the millions of less fortunate people.

It is now more than four days since the tragic death of Lady Di, which shook millions of her fans across the world.

With each passing day, a new turn is being added to the "story of her death". Only time will tell whether we will ever get to know the facts.

Whatever maybe the case, for someone like me - one of the millions of Di's arduous fans, the very event of the sudden end to her life, is inconsolable.

However, at this moment, what's soothing is the fact that a person so caring, so remarkably charismatic, and so beautiful was here between us. A true 'People's Princess', Diana will forever continue to have a special place of love and honour in our heart. Rohit Verma
