Your ThoughtsDear Diana I should say no one could ever have such funeral in history. Your influence started after your death. God bless you that there are more than 25 billion people looking at you. The world is crying! You brought peace and happiness to us. We love you! Nicholas Huang Well done, Earl Spencer, you said what everyone thought. Our hearts go out to Diana`s family and friends but especially to her two sons, we hope her influence and spirit will live through them. Protect them from the media. May Diana rest in peace. Stephen, Liam, James and Rya, Berlin, Germany My family gathered together to pay tribute to Princess Diana as we watched her funeral procession live on our television here in Singapore. It was both touching andheartbreaking, and we join in the grieving of Britain for their beloved princess. Our hearts go out to the young princes who are so very brave, and our prayers will also be with them through this painful and difficult time. The grief that came upon us who have never met her is strange. I realised how well loved she was by so many people when I saw the bouquets of flowers decorating the British High Commission in Singapore when so many Singaporeans, some with their children, queued to sign the two books of condolence. One could hardly contain the tears when the heaviness and pain of her loss hung so evidently in the air. Princess Diana embodied so much of love and compassion, and she will really be missed. May the Lord bless and keep her. Edna Tan, Republic of Singapore I watched the entire funeral and the interviews with various people afterwards. My grandmother was British and I have family in Britain through my marriage so I felt a strong connection to what was happening. All I can say is that the funeral carried so many incredible elements and that the speech made by Earl Spencer (who now lives in South Africa) was so true and moving I will never forget. Hello I just wanted to send someone my feelings about Princess Diana. I am truly saddened by the tragedy that took her life, she has done so much for mankind in her short life and touched so many people. Here in Houston, there was a candle light ceremony the day before her funeral I was deeply touched by the strong emotions that everyone shared for her. She was well loved here in our city, and will be fondly remembered. My deepest sympathies to all of you. Arthur Wilson A lot has already been said, and no doubt more will be said over the next few weeks about Earl Spencer's moving speech. I'm sure that I am not the only one who feels that he was speaking not only for himself and his family, but for all of us who, although we never knew her, felt that we too had lost a beloved sister. There are those who are shocked by the directness of what he said but there are many more who know that he was speaking from the heart. Like him, we hope that the Princes William and Harry, while not forgetting the role they were born into, will also never forget the warmth, kindness and simple humanity of their mother and will let those qualities become as much a part of them as their more traditional royal status. If they can do that, with the help of the families of both their parents, then the all too short life of England's Rose will continue to affect us for many years to come. Oh, Diana, how we will miss your radiant and caring smile. You gave us all so much pleasure. We give thanks to your brother, Earl Spencer, for his pledge to your memory. How he spoke the thoughts of the people of Britain and the world. Dear lady, you can rest in peace knowing that your most excellent sons will be watched over by all who loved you. Goodnight sweet lady, today you are in the most excellent company, of our Lord and Mother Theresa. Gerry, Annette, Chris and Lynsey, Edinburgh Thank you for your coverage of the proceedings of the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales. In Houston, Texas, we held a memorial service at Saturday at 11:00 AM at Christ Church Cathedral in this great woman. Please know that the sympathy of many here in the States are with the people of Great Britain at this time of loss. John Catalani, Houston, Texas USA As I saw the funeral of Diana Princes of Wales, I felt a terrible sorrow not only for her sons and the British people but for the rest of the world. We have lost an impressive woman who was all love and all compassion, from whom we should learn to give and to respect. I feel angry because the monarchy did not pay the tribute that she deserves, they have never comprehended that she was an ally and not an enemy. I hope for the world that in the future there will exist another light to guide us. LAH, Mexico City As you said in an interview, you will never be Queen of England, but you achieved something bigger. You became the Queen of the whole world! We will always remember you, because you showed us all how to become better human beings and inspired us more than anyone. I know you didn't mean it, because you always gave love, but you gave us so much pain and sorrow with your sudden departure. I am sure you will continue to care for humanity from the peaceful place you and Dodi are now. Rest in peace, sweet Princess. We love you. Like Elton John sings, "your life was like a candle in the wind." You were a bright shining candle. You will be missed greatly. I feel as though I had some kind of connection with you. May you always stand as a positive role model to today's young ladies. I will miss you. May the Lord watch over your boys. Someone who loved and admired you in North Carolina, USA Dear Prince William and Prince Harry I am a 16 year-old girl from India - a place that your mother visited and loved. I offer my deepest condolences. I really admire your bravery at the funeral, when even I almost broke down. I'm sure your mother will look over you and be your guiding light...forever. Remember that we will always be there for you. Sushmita More reaction...
