Your ThoughtsThe world has lost a great human being. She was a woman tormented by her surroundings and her associates. She brought the Royal Family into touch with the people and in my opinion was the best thing that ever happened to the Royals. My whole family is completely devastated by her tragic death and the world will be a sadder place for her passing. Our condolences and best wishes go out to her two young sons. The Halligan Family, Cambridge, Ontario, Canada There will never be another human being and mother who is so loved by all. Her sons will need all the support that everyone can give them, including their need for private grief. The best gift the paparazzi can give to the family of the woman they helped to destroy is privacy, now and in the future. They are human beings with human feelings, not objects of attention. Maggie & Elaine, USA My sincere sympathy to all her family especially the children, her sons William and Henry of course, but also nephews and nieces. I am sure she was a most beloved aunt. Reading these amazing messages gives me a strong feeling of living in the Global Village and we need the media for that but we do not need the paparazzi to hound people to their death. All the good people who have contributed to these messages and the thousands on CNN and the Royal Web Site should also send messages to the newspaper proprietors such as Rupert Murdoch demanding that he and the others stop paying for these pictures. Anne Gill, Glasgow, Scotland. I'm very sad. We Love you. We miss you. I don't forget people's Lady Diana. Hiroaki Okuda, Yokohama, JAPAN Thank you for sharing your love and caring with the world. You touched so many of us with your honesty and courage. My love and thoughts go to your sons and family. Ken Thomson. Sydney, Australia. We are deeply saddened and mortified at the unreality of these tragic circumstances for all involved - we will miss a very prominent and public lady who gave so much to those around her - we all mourn for William and Harry especially. Lynda Collodetti We are very sorry it happened. She was an envoy from God to take care to poor and hopeless people. Her death meant for the world what Senna's death meant to Brazilian people. We feel like we are all orphans now. Izabella Tavares, Brazil Life is so short at the best of times. So why can one so special be taken from us. It seems like such a simple question, yet one so difficult to answer. Call her the Queen of Hearts, call her a Princess, call her anything you want but just call her home.... To Prince William and Prince Harry, Whilst your loss is more than sum of the rest of the world put together, please take solace in the fact that the whole world loved her like their own. For in the history of the world there is no other person, man or woman, who has seen the support your mother has and there probably never will be. Treasure the times you did have, not dwell on the times you will not. Glenn Batten, Townsville, Australia This message of condolence comes from a young person who also shares the loss of a young mother. Mine was thirty-four and although I was only thirteen years of age at the time, I'll never forget the special little things that she would do for my brother and myself. To Princes William and Harry: I urge you to treasure the special times you shared with such a special mother, who truly lived for the love of her sons. She will always be loved and remembered. No one will ever take her place. Jennie- Lee Stallard, Townsville, Australia You showed us courage, you gave us love, you touched our hearts with your compassion. Your children can be proud of your endearing desire to lead the world toward liberty, freedom and compassion. Our hearts go out to the families of those who died with you. It is certain that your love has not died and your legacy will continue indefinitely. Your place in history is permanently etched. Your children, family and friends have been very fortunate to have known your love so strong. That will never die.Princess Diana you will never die in our hearts and memories. The RAMSEY FAMILY - Adelaide, South Australia. Lives have come and gone, But one of the world's most loved, Princess Di, will definitely be most fondly remembered. I grieve immensely, together with the rest of the world, for the irreplaceable loss of such a beautiful and absolutely charming woman who has definitely become "The Queen of Hearts" of both yours and mine.. Rachel Yeo, SINGAPORE DIANA - The Living Princess in our hearts - May You Rest In Peace. Aza and Azam, Johore,Malaysia I still can't believe that she's gone. I've never seen her myself nor am I British but I do understand how valuable she was as a person. She gave a hope of life to millions of people throughout the world. We definitely miss her. SAYONARA. Yujiro Tsuchihashi, Tokyo, Japan Diana's life was one of the few by which it's very existence made the world a better place. Sincerest condolences to her family. Warren Gibbs, Perth, Western Australia. I heard from the radio with disbelief that Princess Diana has died in a car accident. I remember the first thought that came to my mind: "There must be a mistake, perhaps it's another Princess Diana", but how many princesses are there in the world named Diana and one who could have such a media effect on everyone else? I've never met the Princess in real life, nor has she ever visited Singapore before, but being two years in England made me closer to the culture there and it saddens me that someone who is willing to finally stand on her own feet should die so suddenly. So to you, the princess of the world, Rest in Peace and to her sons, the pain and loss will always be there but remember that her spirit will always be with us and whenever someone is in pain... Geraldine. Princess Diana will always be remembered in our hearts. Lisa, HK I am a 17 year old writing from Singapore and I am but a small voice amongst the billions of people around the world who feel so strongly for the loss of such a beautiful and generous lady. My heartfelt condolences goes out to her family and the Royal Family and my prayers are with you always. And to Prince William and Prince Harry, always remember that your mum is in a beautiful place and that with death comes eternity. Pray and always realize that God will be there to carry you through your toughest times. ERINNA There was, to me, something immortal about Diana... a beautiful icon that we all saw innumerable times on television and in the press. Perhaps it can be forgiven that it was sometimes easy to forget that she was a real person, a person who felt pain and suffered but could give so much in spite of it. A person with hopes and dreams and a desire for happiness for herself and her children, a person who touched our lives, even from a distance, just by being who she was. My children and I have cried for you Diana, and your children. Rest now, for you truly have become immortal... and your spirit will live on in your sons, and in our hearts. Dee Franklin, Sydney, Australia May Princess Diana find rest in the arms of God. May God be with the two sons at this time to comfort them and our heartfelt condolence also extends to Prince Charles. Bernie, Kuala Lumpur We here in Perth,Western Australia, mourn the loss of a person whom we all came to love and admire. She seemed to rise above the monarchy and all its peculiar traditions which seem quite irrelevant in this modern day. This country is in deep shock and her loss is felt more acutely than that of any other person I can recall. Farewell to a real Princess. A KIND LADY
She has golden hair that shimmers in the sun,
She has two sons William and Harry,
She was a kind lady who gave time and money to charity,
Photographers were following her,
